Altruism is a core value at Front Porch Marketing, and being community connected is at the forefront of our decision making, both as a company and individually. Our team gives back to the communities in which we live and serve. Our team gives our resources — in time, knowledge, and dollars — because we believe to whom much is given, much will be required.

Where might you see us when we’re not on the Porch?

We spend time in our children’s schools volunteering. And they are broad and wide because we are all in different communities. Some of the schools we support are public. Some are private. But the goal is the same: paying it forward to the next generation. Right now, we are hosting two amazing high school interns for the summer as we do every year!

Some of us volunteer at our churches. Others serve non-profit organizations including the Faith Family Education Foundation, and the Grant Halliburton Foundation, among others. In addition to filling our tank, we serve a greater cause. And, organically, it benefits our business by building brand awareness, and boosting brand engagement. We are known as community helpers. We not only help the community ourselves, we help our clients align their businesses with a cause where they are passionate to make an impact.

Community connections are important.

In addition to schools, non-profits, churches and the other organizations our team members spend time with, there are networking organizations for which we are aligned. They help communities on a much larger scale and we are honored to be part of their missions. They connect us to community and beyond. We are grateful for the Fort Worth Chamber, GS10KSB, NAWBO and WBENC, just to name a few.

Is being community connected important to you and your business? Looking to make a difference in your area? Strategically need to align business with a cause? Want to talk to us about anything? Email us here.

Our Summer Six Pack of New Business Happenings:new business front porch marketing

  • New Ways to Sell: We are constantly assessing and reassessing our methods in search of new ways to grow our client’s influence, customer base and ultimately, their sales. Right now we are all about social selling on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Instagram. We believe in the power of developing client-customer relationships via social media.
  • New Blogs: Speaking of power, we are beginning niche blogging for FPM this summer in order to harness its power for top-line growth. Interested in doing the same for your business? Give us a ring.
  • New Clients: Our favorite “new” is new clients! We have many new business partners this year and one of our faves is Maplewood Investment Advisors. Maplewood is a full-service brokerage firm that offers personalized investment expertise to individuals and institutional clients. Maplewood is a mosaic of multiple investment teams, which allows them to provide dynamic investment flexibility and comprehensive client services. We are looking forward to rockin’ it with this fantastic new client.
  • Renewals: We sent in our application to renew our WBENC membership. An added bonus? We are so excited that the Women’s Business Council – Southwest is OUR client.
  • New Job: Front Porch is proud of our interns. Our Rocketeer, Grace Dominique, has just graduated from Texas Christian University and landed a job working with Simpli.fi, a data marketing agency, managing west coast operations from the Fort Worth location. She will be an Account Coordinator with great opportunities for travel and client facing work. Congrats, Grace!
  • New Lil’ Rocker: There’s nothing better or more heartwarming than a brand new baby, and we are excited to announce a new one in our midst! Our very own Rockin’ Roller, Ann Marie Bishop, recently gave birth to son Finley and we welcome this new Lil’ Rocker with a lot of love.

That’s our summer six pack, friends.

We hope your summer is full of new business and more!

Your brand is one of the most important parts of developing or reinvigorating your company. The process of branding examines the emotions you want your customer to feel about your company and its services.

Branding means different things to different people. When working with Clients, we on the Porch serve it up this way:

Simply put, your brand is your promise to your customer.

One of the steps in our branding elaborative is defining brand affiliation. This is done after the vision, personality and positioning are established, because all these factor into the affiliation.

Brand affiliation is best described as what “club” customers are joining when they choose your company. Humans are compelled to affiliate with people like themselves, people they admire or people they aspire to be like. Brand affiliation is what you want other people to think of your company when they learn they are aligned with you.

Once your affiliation is established, you can position yourself in environments that share your affiliation. Say what?

Depending on your company, that might be more complicated than it seems. Here’s an example from our very own Porch:

We want to work with forward-thinking, passionate business leaders and entrepreneurs. We want everyone to have a knock-your-socks off, head turning, register-ringing marketing strategy!

So how do we do that, and maximize our affiliation?

  1. We live, breathe and sing marketing strategy and insight with anyone that will join us on the Porch.
  2. We provide marketing implementation.
  3. We align ourselves with groups and organizations like Vistage, WBENC, NEW, Community Partners and liked-minded business owners.
  4. We conduct workshops like our Chief Rocker’s November 4, “Business in a Box” workshop at the Arlington Inspired Women Luncheon.

Your brand is derived from who you are, who you want to be and who people perceive you to be. Define it and Rock It. Every Day. All Day.

Good day to you, friends, colleagues and cherished clients!

It’s a very special time here at Front Porch Marketing, as the month of March marks our five year anniversary.

Front Porch Marketing Turns Five!

Once upon a time, I gathered the “Porter Posse,” some of my trusted friends, brightest business and marketing minds and family, plied them with delicious food and drink, and shared my dream of opening a boutique branding and marketing company. That evening spent brainstorming would form the early framework of life on the Porch, and the love and support received provided the momentum needed to make it happen.

And so, in honor of our anniversary, here is a samplin’ of five rockin’ things we’ve loved about branding and marketing businesses along the way:

  1. The Porch grew! It started with one fearless leader, but along the way we added diversity, depth and experience—one person at a time. Today, we are eight core team members strong!
  2. Two words: Dream. Clients. Again, we started with one. One Dallas-based luxury brand. Today, we partner with an amazing cross-section of independent-thinking entrepreneurs who are passionate about their businesses. They have challenged us and fortified us and we are thankful to have each and every one of them.
  3. We picked up a prestigious certification: WBENC. And we are darn proud of it. The Women’s Business Enterprise National Council is a national 501(c)(3) non-profit that provides a world class standard of certification to women-owned businesses throughout the country. No small feat, we are honored to have risen to the challenge and make the cut for two consecutive years.
  4. Every day, we get to do what we love. Yes, branding and marketing! We are mad about it—branding, strategy, research and competitive analysis are at the core of everything we do. But we also rock the other pieces of the puzzle—advertising, communications, planning and mapping, email marketing, public relations, sustainability initiatives and social media strategy and implementation.
  5. Our Clients’ success stories became our success stories. When our clients rock, so do we! Nothing is more gratifying than starting from chicken scratch, forming a plan, implementing a shared vision and watching it come to fruition. We recently highlighted two successful case studies on our website: PeopleResults and Empire Baking Company.

Thanks to all of you, the Porch is rockin’ after five great years!
